The Wait Is Over

It's the first day of July already and that means Burberry Beauty items are officially available. But if you want to see the actual products on the counter, you gotta wait until July 14 or so*. And the only one store in Northern California that carries the line will be the Nordstrom store in San Francisco.

How interesting another fashion brand turned into cosmetics Dolce & Gabbana Makeup (launched roughly two years ago) picked Saks Fifth Avenue as their exclusive distributor, Burberry designated Nordstrom as both stores love to put "exclusively ours" label to their products. When I first saw the lineup on WWD, I thought it looked like crap. But after seeing the official campaign and product photos, I was completely wowed. The packaging is so classy and the shades are really wearable. Now I want to see it and even get my hands on some items.

I do wish they made several eyeshadow duos and quads like other brands do. Maybe they'll be releasing some in the future, hopefully. What attract me the most are those "Glow"s especially the warm type. I so want that chic British girl look. Talking about British girls, this time the brand chooses three British models Lily Donaldson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Nina Porter as the campaign faces. I personally think Emma Watson will be so much better for the job. Her smart and innocent look will soften up the cold and man-ish design. But it's just me. No company will use the same face forever nowadays. I also think the lipsticks are nice to have. The rosy shades and check pattern seem to be a good combo.

Check out the collection and campaign at Burberry Beauty.
