Color of the Week - Fireworks with Dior Black Sequins

I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July weekend. It was really sad that I didn't get to see fireworks  this year because of my city's tight budget. To make it up, I did a fireworks nail design by using these colors.

Dior 905 Black Sequins (L), Majolica Majorca BE115(R) and MAQUillAGE PK 203 (M).

And the inspiration was from Vivi July Chinese version.

Black Sequins is a holiday limited edition item from year 2008. The rich black color and tiny silver bits is a great representation for starring night.

The polish is a little watery so one coat does not cover it all. But with two coats it's just perfect.

Next step I draw two lines using Majolica Majorca BE 115.

Then I draw another two lines from the opposite side using MAQUillAGE PK 203.

I couldn't find a silver Stripe Rite but no problem. I just use a clear nail polish and some lose pigments. Then I run through water to get rid of the excess pigments.

For my final touch, I press on a star sticker. And that's it. It's very simple, right?

So I hope you like it.

So simple and cute! I'd definitely botch it up though, no coordination at all =.=

Do you use the brush that's included with the polish itself to draw the stripes or do you use a special brush?

aww so nice, it does remind me of the fireworks I saw last week. The pink and the gold goes really well with that black. good job doing these! :D
