My Beauty Diary Mask

Today I'm going to talk about My Beauty Diary Masks. This is a brand that was made in Taiwan. You can find their official website here.

I got mine at a local Asian market. I can't even count how many different types are there and I wish I tried all of them. The first one I got was the combo pack, which had 10 individually packaged masks. It was a good way to try the product out. My most favorite would be the Apple Polyphenol and Pearl Powder masks. The cooling mask is good for summer time too especially after you just get home from outside. Nothing can beat a glass of ice coffee and a cooling mask.

I'm most afraid of the Natto Mask. I have no idea how they come up with that idea. For the ones of you who don't know what natto is, it is a traditional Japanese food made from soybeans fermented with Bacillus subtilis. Let's put it this way, it looks nasty and stinks as hell, just like the stinky tofu but in a different way. I guess it's very nutritious for you even for your skin. Even by think of how it looks, I don't want to try. Luckily my husband is available who loves eating natto. So it didn't go to waste. When he put it on, I didn't smell natto at all which is good. Maybe they only extracted the active ingredients from natto like how they make the sake skincare products.

Recently I got their new Japanese Cherry Blossom and Mixed Berry masks. I really like the Japanese Cherry Blossom. It has become my new favorite. The smell is so light and relaxing.

The best thing about these masks is that there's no need to rinse it off after you're done. You just massage the remaining liquid on your skin and put on your moisturizer. So I guess the ingredients must be very gentle. There's only one thing I haven't figure out about these masks is that why they put a pearl film underneath it. I've seen no other masks like that. Anyone got an idea?

The conclusion: I'm going to give it a 4+. It does its job but nothing more. They smell good and fit alright on the face. The price isn't too bad either.

i wondered why as well.
but i guess cuz its way too waterish, so in order to open up the folded mask sheet its better to have that pearl sheet attached?
