Lunasol III - Noble Shade Eyes

Today I'm going to share you with my Noble Shade Eyes. This was part of the Red Purification collection released in Fall 2008. Since the brand focus on red lipsticks for the season, the eye shadows are much more low-key compared to the Sheer Contrast Eyes which was released a year ago. It resembled the brand's original image when it first came out.

The concept for this collection is "A four-color eye shadow set that creates a sensuous look dressed with deep shade and delicate red hues. The Lucent Highlight formula imparts a fine dazzle and glow to the eyes and confer a noble, alluring look to the eyes".

The company made 5 color variations for the eye shadow, which are 01 Light, 02 Deep, 03 Red, 04 Yellow and 05 Blue Green. Being named "Red Purification", the star item of the collection is of course the 03 Red Variation. However 04 Yellow variation has followed the same track as the orange toned Sheer Contrast Eyes 05 Orange Coral, being discontinued.

All the photos are taken under natural sunlight without flash. I find this setting represent the true colors the best. Like always, Lunasol always includes high quality applicators with their eye shadows. Although I keep mine unused, I tested the brushes on my eyes. They don't poke or hurt my skin at all.

Among the 4 powder textured colors, the highlights are more in cream-like form. None of them has visible shimmers like the Sheer Contrast Eyes. Moreover, the density of the shades are hard enough to minimize shadow fall off. As you can see, the 01 still looked as new after a couple of times of usage. The overall finish is very smooth and lasting. The colors almost melt into the skin. The whole collection is surrounded by the earthy tone sheen, suitable for any skin color.

Now let me show you the individual palette.

01 Light Variation. This one is really good for day time use, also suitable for office ladies.

02 Deep Variation.

03 Red Variation. Isn't it pretty?

04 Yellow Variation. The one already went bye bye -_-

05 Blue Green Variation. No matter how I look at it, it's more like a grayish green.

The swatches will be up tomorrow.
